1981 Delorean DMC-12 Super Sport

This particular Delorean is truly one of a kind. Just listen. The original owner of this vehicle, Al Pincus, purchased the DMC-12 new from a dealership in Florida, but just a few short months later that dealer closed. However, Pincus was determined to learn the history of this car, more so than most other Delorean owners at the time. So, by tracking down the owner of the dealership, he was able to get in contact with John Delorean himself. At the time Mr. Delorean was living on a large property in New Jersey, alone and in rough shape, due to the recently concluded court case, which was investigating various federal charges. Pincus visited him multiple time and continued a friendship with John for years. Pincus decided to invite Mr. Delorean to be the Grand Marshall at the Buckingham Auto Show. Mr. Delorean accepted and drove this very DMC-12 into the opening ceremony of the show, as well as to a personal breakfast before the show. Sadly, Mr. Delorean passed away a few years after the two became close friends, but the DMC-12's legend lives on.

This DMC-12 was driven, signed and used as a feature car by Michael J. Fox in his T.V. show Spin City. Even cooler, Fox himself mailed the original owner “a large box” filled with the original “non-destructive” props used on HIS Delorean to be used on this very one. We have what remains of those props and various other pieces of memorabilia. Additionally, Christopher Lloyd, Lea Thompson, and John Delorean himself sign this car! We have multiple forms of documentation and photos backing it all up and it's truly a privilege to lay eyes on such intimate pieces of documentation kept for all these years. All documentation is included in the sale.
